DECIDING ON A LOGO |
|
|
|
What are your company's mission, vision and goal? Who is your target market and
what products and services do you want to provide to your clients? What colours
form part of your business? Do you like conservative logos with pastel colours or
funky logos with bright colours? Your logo should reflect all of these elements.
You can do the following to help you decide on how your logo should look and feel:
- Look at other companies logos. Identify the elements that you like and dislike.
- Do you want a simple, complex or abstract logo? Keep in mind that a too complex
detail logo will not work well on fax headers. Detail get lost during the fax process.
- Draw your logo by hand using the elements that you have identified. This can be
a rough sketch and do not have to look professional.
- Decide on maximum 3 colours that you want present in your logo. Using more colours
will make your logo look cheap.
- Your logo can be simple or abstract as long as it fits the image of your company.
